What is a "CBD"?

Eight years ago, not everybody knew what a "cbd" was... crazy badass dudes? Time marches on and now CBD is everywhere, in sodas, chocolates, cookies, you name it. Meanwhile, we remain THE CBDS!

CBD is the acronym for cannibidiol, one of nearly 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Cannibidiol has been identified as having the most therapeutic value of any of the cannibinoids found in the cannabis plant and is non-psychotropic.  Cannibidiol is not the same thing as THC. THC stands for tetrahydracannibinol.  THC is the most psychotropic of the cannibinoids and is responsible for the euphoric sensation associated with its use.  CBD can be obtained with or without THC, so psychotropic means are not necessary to achieve certain medicinal ends.  CBD can realistically be called a new "wonder drug".  Studies demonstrate cannibidiol to have anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety, anti-nausea, neuroprotective and pain-killing properties.  It has been shown to lower blood pressure, protect against cancers, cause drowsiness, relieve spasms, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and seizures.  What's not to like?

If you wish to know more about cannibidiol and the medical properties of many other cannibinoids, there are plenty of practitioners out there who will be happy to help you... just google for them!
